About Regal Opera! |
Regal Opera began seventeen years ago when Pam Cochrane decided to implement her idea of a company that would allow professional singers living in the area the chance to perform their craft. She began in a very small space with just four singers and a piano. She knew she had arrived when she had volunteers who would actually move the furniture for her between acts! Since then, she has collaborated with the Northeast Tarrant County Orchestra on two occasions and used small chamber ensembles for accompaniment.
Regal is a non-profit organization that performs twice a year in the spring and fall and has produced thirty-five shows of opera, operetta, and some musical theater numbers. Colleyville Center, located in Colleyville, Texas, is the company’s choice of performance space.
